After years of sitting on our arses´ typing away on a computer, we´ve now spent two days cycling on dirt tracks, up steep climbs and over wooden rickty bridges! We spent 5 hours solid riding on Monday and it was soo hard!! We took a map that made distances seem a lot shorter than they where, we planed to get to a waterfall but only managed half way, cursing the heat, gravel and cars speeding past kicking up dust in our faces. We did get to a lookout and could admire the river from there, though. Coming back was much easier and one of the locals told us about a different way to get to Pucon alongside the river that was much more interesting than the road. We were aching all over when we got back at 8:30pm to the hostel, Jon had hurt his back before surfing last week so he had a full body massage at the hostel =)

On our second day cycling we started early, and couldn´t believe how easy it was reaching the same point we struggled to get to the day before! We quickly went past that point, past a small waterfall where we rested for a bit and then on to have lunch at the Ojos De Caburgua (waterfalls). It took us about 4 hours to get there, but the view made it worthwhile! The waterfall came down on two sides, the area was really beautiful but crowded with tourists, most of whom had come by car!! We took lunch at Laguna Azul, that was actually a deep pool but had the most incredible blue colour! After lunch and a justly deserved 2 hour rest, we made our way back to Pucon! Thankfully the rest of the journey was on tarmac roads! Boring but much easier!

Cycling,cycling!
