Believe it or not, we’ve spent the last five days camping and trekking in Torres del Paine National Park. We’ve done the very famous “W”, a trek that looks (you´ve guessed it) like a W in the map. We’ve seen the impressive Paine towers, walked around forests, river streams, lakes and glaciers; scrambled over rocks, boulders, and rickerty bridges; battled against 40mph winds and sudden downpours of rain! And all that while carrying our camping gear and our food for five days! Uff! The trek wasn´t easy, we´ve done an average of 7 hours a day, but the views made it worthwile! There were lots of people trekking and we all motivated each other. We met a nice couple, Rudolf and Ivanna (hope the spelling is right!), who were doing the “W”at the same time and it was fun to meet on the road and at the end of the day. It was great to always have someone to talk to about the day when we got to the campsite in the evening. The “W” is part of a bigger trek, the Circuit, and we´ve enjoyed it so much that we aim to come back and do the whole thing soon!
